Certainly Haus, There are many, many individuals on here that have admirable characteristics that help make Barbelith a great place and I felt the need to crush one of them to bring this thread back on topic.
When I first became a member on here I made a few early posts were stupid and flippant misreading the purpose of some of the threads and the mood on Barbelith. After having my error pointed out to me in a polite diplomatic way I realised my mistakes and have attempted to post in a more positive manner ever since. Despite the many other intelligent, witty thought provoking individuals on here who have helped to challenge my assumptions and change the way I think about things, I chose one of the people that I most respect to crush.
I chose Olulabelle for the diplomatic way she almost effortlessly made me face up to my error, without resorting to humiliation or ridicule, giving me the opportunity to self reflect on my post and posting style without suffering too much loss of face, that could have been for me counterproductive. I have seen Olulabelle display this characteristic on a number of occasions now and am convinced that it is the most effective and positive way to get ideas across to others.
