I've posted the first three images before, but they were sans sigils and final colour tweeks. Here they are in finished form. They have been printed on A1 metallic photographic paper and are currently off being framed for a gallery show. I'll take pictures when they are ready.

The sigils are quite meaty, if it all happens I'm going to be a very busy lad.

Good wishes and charging appreciated

...and some new characters using the new sigils...

Fuck me, matey! Those are spectacular!

Can I have one?

Those first two are my favorites. Smiled to see Ganesh on my third look. How'd I not see him before? Copying that to my desktop fo' sure.

Always enjoy seeing your work, Fool. Your style has a simplicity and a complexity that play very nicely against each other. Your color choices are excellent, and the repetition of shapes really holds my eye on the pieces while encouraging me to take in as much detail as I can. Thanks for sharing!

This is f***ing beautiful! Should I even ask what the change is about? Or would that spoil it?

What I won't worry about asking is whether you're gonna post big versions of these somehwere, or put them up on deviantart.com so we can order prints of them.

Man. You have made me happy.

I remember seeing these gorgeous pieces before...But now, with the subtle changes, they are even more sublime.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'll try and work out a way to make the large scale prints available when holiday craziness subsides a bit.

As for what the sigils do, well, they will hopefully give me fun things to do in the new year. They cover three aspects of what I do, design, character creation and music.

We'll see how it goes...

The third character, the dancing sigilbot!!!

...and one more, he's not sigiled up, but he snuggles nice

Those are splendid as always, Fool. If it's not too intrusive a question, whyfor the 3 red chevrons on the sigilbot's head?

whyfor the 3 red chevrons on the sigilbot's head?

No idea really, it just made it look a bit more 'machine-y'. I use chevrons a fair bit in my design (there is on in my logo). Is there significance to 3 red chevrons that I was unaware of? (I hope it not something terrible and foreboding if there is)

It's just that 3 red chevrons have been turning up for me in various bits of trancework/visualisation for years, and I wondered if you'd ever come across that symbol yourself. The only idea I've been able to come up with is that they are runes (Kenaz).

Thass all.

Ganesh

Gorgeous, as ever. Love the second one, which appeals to my narcissism (Ganesh = centre of everything) and very keen to buy a print if/when they become available.

For some reason I remember being asked or reading about this question before. So, I googled and had a look what was out there...

chevrons: 3 (red)
ivry-la-bataille (municipality, eure, france) - this has a yellow flag with 3 red chevrons pointing up

and...

traditional chevron weaving patterns

then the topics all seem to be military insignia, racing clubs (or other sports) or glass beads for a while...

then this...

and...

a game...

UPDATE!

The opening for the show was tuesday night. Here are some pics...

proud dad

I added 6 extra little pieces as offerings.

love

compassion

beauty

happiness

peace

kindness

I burnt a copy of each of the offerings under the light of the full moon (master of my sign of cancer) that directly proceeded it. I then put the ashes into a watering can and watered the lemon trees on my balcony (which I though was a nice touch, lemons being filled with gentle virtues as I watered). Each offering has the virtue sigilised within (at the top of each circle).

You're very talented. You know, I'd really love to see your take on the Cthulhu Mythos. Sure, Yog-Sothoth isn't exactly what most people think of as "cute", but I'd love to see the Necronomicon monsters filtered through your style.

Bloody Gorgeous. You are my graphic guru.

I feel really guilty for not sending you the pics of the t-shirt yet. I've finally got my phone to speak to my computer, so I'll get it sorted shortly!! Sorry :-(

Fool, your art is fantastic! In fact I printed out several pieces to decorate my office. If Grant Morrison's "Pop Magic!" is ever published, I'm going to lobby for you to do the cover! Keep up the great work, and thanks!

Another quick update. The big blue piece with all my characters is going to be used as a cover for the local gay street press's pride march edition. The editor of the paper was at the opening and was rather impressed. 50,000 copies!!! WOOHOO!!!

I keep coming back to the six small pieces. They're enchanting. I love the way they look like advertisments, but instead of selling something they're simply offering it. No purchace necessary. In fact, you already have these things.

Lovely.

UPDATE!

It hit the streets this friday. 50,000 copies, with directions in it to go visit the gallery and see the show, distributed all over the city... a mega charge you could say... Hopefully it'll help sell of few pictures at the gallery and set a few other things in motion...

Stunning. The use of red in the first and third pictures is particularly mesmerising. I could look at these for ages.

No intention of digressing this thread — I adore your work — I just think it's interesting when others incorporate sigils into their illstration and/or design. I'd love to see this field developed more in magic, chaos magic in particular. Here is an example of one I did last year, as an abstraction of a sigil unto itself:

Hi Fool, love your pieces. Good work on getting the magazine cover spot, will have to see if I can get a copy filtered through to me in Sydney. It's one hell of a way to get other people to invest their energies in your sigils
