So Ive been playing wow for about 2 weeks now, on Bloodfeather with some mates. Its fun, and largely better that Guild Wars, though perhaps less good looking for chars. So...anyhoo...where are you all if I start an Barbe-alt?

I managed to get away from the damn thing a while back, having lost a good chunk of the summer to it. Once I quit, I quit hard and complete; I'd got up to level fifty-middle and things just slowed to a crawl, crawl, crawl; it was no longer fun solo and although I was in a nice guild full or proper rol-e-players I had the misfortune to be a dozen levels clear of them due to the addiction. Not much fun, and grinding bores the shit out of me, so that was that.

...I've a nasty feeling I might buy the expansion pack in a fit of weakness, though.

And some pets don't eat meat at all, btw. I have a wind serpent who only eats fish, bread and cheese. Strange but true.

I didn't play for about a month. Then, yet again, I thought "yeah, why not, just check up on my main and make sure he hasn't been kicked out of his guild for not playing for so long" and lo and behold, it's dragged me right back in.

Lurid- I've got one on Khadgar, but most of the Barbe-posse are on Nordrassil- I have a gnome there who I really must get back to.

Oh you quitters!

Urthona now has four pieces of his teir one set, Cenarion Armor. He's invested in Fire resist armor, that, when unbuffed, is 149. I'm nearly revered with the Waterlords and that means another ring I think. I've also managed to snag up some paltry arcane resist armor to help against Shazz, but that's hardly ever used.

I rarely play Marrigan the warlock or Odn or Phraya anymore. Not to mention the Horde team sitting on rested xp.

The lore only gets more exciting the higher you get. Just completed an Emperor Run and it looks like the Dwarven nations are now united by blood.

I saw a South Park episode a couple of days ago on the net where the kids got into WOW. It was hilarious! I have purposely not bought it and not fixed my sick computer for a year because I know if I did get into it, my life would be over. I would be taking sickies from work and getting into all sorts of real world trouble... Does it play better on AMD or Intel? no no stop it... ATI or Nvidia? arrrrggghhh.

Does anyone know how this (The Burning Crusades) is actually going to work? I understand that some stuff is supposed to make the old servers, but that the new locations won't. It's not exactly clear at the moment...

If youīve ever played WoW, do yourself a favour and watch this. Itīs a short animation, that treats the LOTR fellowship as if theyīre l33t speaking WoW players; very well done (for example "/spit", or Gandalfīs yellow exclamation mark).

I've got a copy of the game from a friend, but not the authentication key (someone doesn't want to finally let go...). As some of you may know I bought a Ģ1.49 trial on Sunday (two weeks, slightly reduced functionality) and it has just killed my ability to function properly already. I'm not sure whether I want to commit to this thread as it means I'll have less time for killing Bandits in the forest. But, basically, oh, it's good... my new sweet, sweet death-hastening friend.

Well, I managed six last night. Scary but fun drunk moment where I stumbled into the big hall in Stormwind and got myself recruited (Level 10 Mage) into some insanely overpowered Capture The Flag game, dying almost instantly then hiding ineffectually near the Alliance flag for the rest of the game. We won. This game is horribly good.

Finally up to lvl 50. The forties really dragged, but now I can finally join in in the raids, getting my armour set and shit.

Don't worry about levelling, Stoats, wont take long. I'm part of a pretty well set up guild at the moment and there's people of all levels. Join up and you'd never be stuck to get help for a quest. What level is your night elf? Gonna make 60 by Xmas?


Cube: Nordrassil was full, but you should still be able to squeeze in - wierd it's not showing up. Wonder is it's coz you're on a trial game?

I'm only on 39 at the moment (I tend to have days and days of intense playing followed by weeks of neglect) but after NaNoWriMo is (hopefully) done and dusted I'm gonna go for a big push. I don't think I'll make 60, but I want at least a few more levels under my belt in time for Winter Veil...

Good grief, just realised that I have the new Torchwood and I would rather play an orcish hunter than watch it. That's bad.

I quit in early september. I have no withdrawal so far, thankfully. The only thing worrying me, is that the burning crusade one day might actually be released. And then there so many tempting things to discover...

Ooh, I've made it into Nordrassil. Currently in Goldshire and will probably do a quick run through the quests tonight to get up to level 10ish. Anyone else likely to be around?

But if you canīt fight while flying, Iīll pass. With the riding pets right now, it is like that, right? No fighting or wizardring, while riding. What poppycock!

Just got sucked back into Khadgar... but after the weekend I'll check back into Nordrassil, see how my little gnome chappy's keeping...

No dogfights.

In fact, you won't even really be able to control the flying mount while it's flying. You just ask it to take you to whatever city and it chooses the route.

Oh no! I was afraid, it would be this lame. And itīs so unnecessary, that they make the flying mounts this dull.

If I have to dish out a 100.000 gold for a flying pet, then I want to fly around as I please, &$§ß&!

Letīs hope, the next generation online games will cater to my needs.
