As far as I'm aware the woman who illustrated the cards for crowley created the three variations and he liked all three and had them included in the set of cards.
And there's nothing wrong with using your instinct. Look at the three magus cards and pick the one that appeals to you the most, and use the other two as book marks in the guide book (or other magical instruction book you may have. That's what I did. |
