I've been putting broken images up for moderation where I've seen them, replacing the icon with [broken image]. It just stops the offending post from being an itch in the corner of your eye, makes the thread less ugly.
That's only if it's a post within an old thread that's been bumped, mind - if it's something recent, it makes more sense to PM the poster and ask them if they can replace it with a working link. |
