Looks like I'm going to be popping back from Wales to London on Saturday for a few days, so will be there.

Any chance of some crash space afterwards anyone? A bloody nuisance not living in Stokey anymore.

awwww, thanks! i hope we live up to all your expectations. i fear that we may be slightly under-rehearsed, as we just spen loads of time preparing to record 4 songs and neglected the rest of them...

BTW, it will be £3 because they are charging us a small fortune to 'rent' the place.

Well, those four songs should be really, really good then!

It'll be good to meet all you 'lithers who come along tonight I've only really spoken to or nodded to in passing last time there was any sort of meet I attended. Except all those of you I know already, of course.

Urgh, probably not gonna make it, unfortunately. I'm wide awake now, meaning I'll probably be asleep in the evening prior to work. Damn these circadian rhythms.

Noooo! Wake up around 8 to 8.30pm, stroll 'round the corner, Morning Bride are on at 9pm-ish (estimated), watch their set, have a chat, stick around for what you can of the Washington Rays (I'm really lookiong forward to seing them - their demo CD is impressively big-sounding), then hop on the 149 to work. Simple, really.

Note that it'll be nice to see those people I do already know from here too!

Morning Bride are fantastic. I make that two great bands with people from Barbelith in them, and counting...

Guess what! Lots and lots of barbelithers came to Stoke Newington last night and not one of them imploded. Leastways, not that I noticed.
Morning Bride are fantastic. I was lucky enough to have them for my Frankie's party acapella today(well, 1/2 of them) too, and what! even more barbelithers who also still did not implode.
Geez,
Maybe the world's all changing.
See them next time if you're smart!

Morning Bride were on form last night, and it was lovely having them at Frankie's party today as well. I wonder if anyone recorded their verion of "How Much Is That Doggie In The Window"? There will be bootlegs for the future if so...

I seem to remember the Washington Rays being enjoyable, especially after their set warmed up, but by that point the booze had really kicked in - so my memory has suffered a similar fate.

So here's to the next time, MB.

And great to see all youse 'lithers there too, and to ramble incoherently in your general direction in person for a change.

I really, really wish someone had recorded that version of Doggie in the Window... And I am strongly urging MB to do some acoustic gigs, 'cos their acoustic version of This Place is No Place... was really lovely...
