The album, due out on October 24, will carry a cover shot of Robbie holding his forefinger up to reveal a "sigil" on his fingertip, a symbol which is a magical seal or device and can be used to summon up such things as angels or demons.

OMG, let's go summon demons right now!

He'll have given up on 'cracking America', then.

GRANT MORRISON BUYS NEW COFFEE TABLE

"A've been to Ikea and bought me a new coffee table", editorialised the formulatic scots writer. "It's proper brawn. Am gonna put things on it, like this new Robbie Williams CD. Mah Ma likes Robbie Williams".

The album's artwork was designed by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely, who did comic strip Judge Dredd.

For "did" read "fucked up."

Yeah, 'cause Dredd never recovered his conceptual brilliance after that.

Does RW know what the sigil is for? I mean not just in a general sense, I mean does he know what GM intends to do with it?

Yeah - and isn't there a shitload of free will being impinged upon here?

Yeah, 'cause Dredd never recovered his conceptual brilliance after that.

Did I say it was conceptually brilliant prior to Morrison's run? Hang on...

Nope. Can't see it. If it helps, for "fucked up" read "failed to meet the basic criteria of making the strip halfway entertaining or interesting, displayed a fundamental misunderstanding about what made it entertaining in the first place, produced something that - by any standards - was badly written, badly plotted and badly paced, wasted six pages every week that could have been better used, made it obvious that he had little real interest in making the strip work compared to his own creator-owned strips in the same issues..."

Not "destroyed a body of material that had previously been one of the shining lights of innovation and artistic genius in the comics industry, undoing all the revolutionary work commited to the page by those who came before him, starting a trend that saw the ruination of one of our most important cultural assets in the process."

Is there something happening between me posting this stuff and others reading it that's making people decide to wilfully misinterpret the words on the screen at the moment?

Well, what you've just written is somewhat less misinterpretable than "fucked up", which rather implies wanton reduction of something to less than its former status. Now you've expanded on "fucked up", I can simply agree to disagree with you.

Is it just me or do we know that website doesn't support remote linking?

I think he was making a wee joke back there, myself.

He is a naughty boy though, isn't he, that Robbie Williams?

Including the money, wouldn't waking up tomorrow morning in Robbie Williams' world, the houses, the cars, the adulation of millions, the gold discs and so on, the hollow, dead feeling, if waking up tomorrow meant you actually were him, be reason enough to get the gun out of the fridge, walk into the (very lovely no doubt,) bathroom, and then shoot yourself repeatedly straight between the eyes? And then, once the reflection was dealt with, the fun could really start.

I'll admit to being a little worried about George M on behalf of my grandson, but what how do his other lovers think? George Morrissey's, that is! I gather that there are a few of you out there! Is George M's decision to have anything to do with the nightmarish aesthetic disaster area what is Bob Williams' oeuvre something you can easily forgive?

'They can f£$£ing have him,' he said, my grandson 'The t£"!'

(Excuse my French)

The question presupposes he's done something wrong. What's that based on?

Now all we need is for GA to get RAW to pose with them and we can have a really good analysis of the boring dad-rockist vs shiny pop lovers thing.

Or we could get a new arguement, one that isn't boring, played out and based around a false dicotomy.

S'just a thought, in any case.
