I'm watching the BBC and will update as and when I can. It looks like the Emergency Services are responding superbly. "Several reports of fatalities..." according to the TV.

BBC are now spinning more towards deliberate nasty people action rather than accident. If it were terr'rists, I would have thought they would have gone for attacking the big mainline stations like Waterloo and Victoria rather than underground and buses...

From the Met website:
"Major Transport Incident

At approx 08:50 on 7.7.05 we were called to Aldgate LT stn to assist the City of London police and BTP regarding an incident on the underground system.

All of the emergency services are on scene.

This has been declared as a major incident.

Too early to state what has happened at this stage.

There have been further reports from multiple locations in London of explosions. It is too early to say what has caused these explosions.

Police are responding to reports from:

Edgware Rd
Kings Cross
Liverpool St
Russell Sq
Aldgate East
Moorgate underground stations.

Furthermore there has been a confirmed explosion on a bus in Tavistock Place.

The MPS, BTP, City of London Police are working together to ensure officers are deployed to each scene.

There have been reports of numerous casualties but it is too early to say numbers at this stage".

I've managed to get in touch with lilly, TangoMango, Anna, Tabitha Tickletooth and Mr Brigade (whichever he is at the moment...)

Don't have time to go back and check the thread to see if this has been mentioned cos I'm alternating internet with landline calls, but Stockwell's been closed for a suspect package.

This is all rather fucked, isn't it?

Scotland Yard are setting up a casualty Bureau with in the next half an hour, when the put the numbers up I'll post them.

There are no confirmed casualties as yet, though it seems likely there will be.

"Security incidents" have closed Swindon and possibly Brighton train station, please remember that the authorities are in better to be safe than sorry mode.
