ITV seem quite measured, BBC are looking for the sensation, but a reporter for them was being excellent, saying that he can confirm one casualty only and he is only aware of one explosion and wouldn't speculate. Sky is going all out sensationalism though.

Just reporting in - I work in Centrepoint so I've got a good view of the emergency services who're everywhere outside. At least one person here was covered with soot after leaving a train at Liverpool Street, but they're ok.

Well I'm still at home in Islington. I travel through Kings Cross every morning but I happen to be doing late shifts this week so I hadn't left when it happened. I've been told by my office to just stay put and see what's going on tomorrow. From what I'm hearing from mates already in central not too many people are hurt but the whole of transport system, along with the road network, has come to halt.

I'm OK, though working right by Victoria station is unsettling me a little. Vincennes is fine too, ze works out in Surrey.

People don't have their phones off, if you're trying to call - the mobile networks are utterly flooded with calls and getting a spare slot is going to be tricky. If you've got landlines, use them.

The Guardian is painting a very worrying picture - at least two bus explosions, power surge explosions at Aldgate, Old Street, Kings Cross, Russell Square and Edgware Road. Multiple casualties reported by eyewitnesses.

I'm hoping this is being over-reported. The Independent site was reporting one casualty.

I'm on Pentonville Road and there are ambulances and weird fire vehicles pouring past in both directions - it's Liverpool St one way, King's X/Euston/UC Hospital the other way... the rumour mill is rampant...
