Matsya, your woman looks very beautiful. All radiantly duchamp.

So excited for matsya. Wow. That's awesome.

She found the scissors and did this to herself.

There has been wailing, and gnashing of teeth, mingled with a kind of dreadful admiration for the levelness of her hand and her ability to center the cut. No mirror. No grownups to help.

I like it.

No mirror- that really is impressive. Are you going to 'sort it out' or just let it be?

It's been tidied a little, but the tiny Bettie Page will someday grow out again.

Fingers crossed.

The expression on her face is adorable.

Well, it didn't last long.

Minutes later:

Notice the infant in the background, who cannot yet walk (exactly) but is perfectly capable of opening the closed trash can and either knocking it over or removing items one handful at a time.

Your life looks lovely Grant.

TBH, grant, I'm laughing a little at this. Mostly because I can imagine such a happening in the Monk household in the not-too-distant future.

What Screams May Come!

Your life looks lovely Grant.

Ha! It's sheer chaos, a sea of clutter and demands, and it looks like we'll have to move because of upward-spiraling taxes & insurance costs (thank you, real estate bubble. thank you, 2005 hurricanes.)

But yes, those two creatures keep me going.

23:02 / 14.09.06
Grant, I bloody love your kids. How about we swap for a couple of months?

Here's what I've got to offer

(second time lucky)

Deal?

Look at your baby! He's lovely!

I'll swap you for an eight year old...

Actually, that's an old picture. He's got less teeth now.

Thanks a lot, Lula. Without wishing to boast, he really, really is. It's quite absurd.

Mind you, your son is a proper handsome little fella in his own right. I'll be chuffed to bits if mine turns out half as good looking.

Just to prove my boy's no slacker in the fashion department:

He was the ring-bearer at my brother-in-law's wedding. That's the missus keeping him within frame.

I defy anyone to find a teeny suit like that in England.
Monk, your Missus is beautiful.

Deal?

Deal!

Now to explain it to the better half.....

Monklet (blood novitiate?) looks...energetic. And I want to see Lula's boy with the hat and the parrot.

Monk, your Missus is beautiful.

The Monk brigade are a right bunch of lookers, and no mistake.

Grant, it's only a swap it's not like I won't send post them back to you. Just tell her to chillax.

23:42 / 14.09.06
Thank you, Lula! How she ended up with a mug like me, I'll never know.

"Energetic" is a word that has often been used to describe m' boy. Wifey tells me his nickname at daycare is "Loco". Of the two, I prefer the former.

YAY! Looks like a handful, redtara.

And wow, we've got the exact same inflatable play-ring-thing at home. (out of commission now due to youngest continually trying to crawl out of it and banging his head on the wooden floor)

Yeh, we had one day where Alex fell out three times! Once is unfortunate, twice is careless, three times is...

How ever he now has the hang of things and all three are constantly tumbling in and out without too much damage and a great deal of 'Wow! look what I just did, lets do it again!'

Don't know what your soft furnishings situation is like, but we had cusions all around for a month or so after Lexie's hammer house day. Don't know what we would do without our rings, they have been a Goddess send along with our Kari-me.

Malachy, now two, likes to dive head first off the sofa onto the floor in a rapid sliding motion.

We worried at first.

Belated congrats to team triplet!

I didn't know whether to put this here or in the happy thread but... HE'S CRAWLING AND SITTING UP! After a month or so of effort everything finally slotted into place today. It's like a tipping point was reached, or something.

You poor, poor man.

How are your bookshelves situated? CD racks?

Books are accessible unfortunately, as are some plug sockets.

We're gonna have to make some changes. EEK!
