I'm afraid I couldn't be evil if I tried (I can't even role-play it.) The job is yours if you want it.

Great, I even got goatie beard and everything, i'm perfect for the evil twin thing ...

A goatie is definitely on the list of requirements for those applying to be my evil twin. Others include: a piercing cackle and shadows persistent from all angles at all times of the day (and night).

Seriously, where's it all hidden?

Surely there's more to membership then the ability to post and socialise?

I have been away for o-so long, but now I have returned!

Not entirely earth shattering news I realise, but I was wondering with so many younglings (yes I have inside sources ^^) if we've lost any of the oldies? Who am I not likely, with or without attached monkey/pirate/ninja/etc comments, to see anymore?

and I was completely disappointed by the entire admissions process, there's me
thinking you were an elitist bunch of fucks - that being precisely the reason I wanted
to join, and now I know you'll let anyone in.

You people have no standards man, no standards.

You have misunderstood. It is once in that you go on trial. If you are uncommonly stupid then you will be chased away again forthwith.

We use sticks lashed to baseball bats with razor wire. Dipped in honey and coated with jelly babies. On fire.

Hello,
My first post as well. I'm a canadian londoner living in the east end. I've also been lurking for a while, stealing ideas. I'm a film maker with a day job writing about diseased penises in the urology department of some NHS hell hole. currently working on unhealthy obsessions with Robert Bresson, libraries and John Taylor Gatto.

I had some great times taking care of diseased penises in the urology department of some NHS hell hole. It hadn't occurred to me to write about it till now. Now you've put the idea in my head, I could be the new Candace Bushnell!

Hello all,

Chiming in with my first post. I'm a Singaporean who deals with environmental issues in the day, and DJs part-time at night. Currently obsessed with linguistics and the dialects of English, the Boston Red Sox, soul music, Everton FC, Woody Allen films, Farina's Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up To Me, indie rock, and a whole bunch of other things. Guess that's about it - I'll sit back and await.

Hello everyone. After much time reading these boards, I have finally been admitted in as a member.

I'm a 16 year old student. I love to read, (and find it sad that so many of my generation does not) and while I generally stick to fantasy and sci-fi, fiction in general interests me. Non-fiction interests include anything related to World War II, and the French and American Revolutions. I also love music, so don't be suprised if I drop a couple of names here and there in the Radio and Music section of music that sounds good to me.

hey everyone - i am also new to the forum and i just wanted to say whats up. as everyone else im sure can say ive been lurking for some time and finally got around to the joining part.

sooo about me... im 23, grad student in nyc studying art history and im a painter type also. ive been into comic books for as long as i can remember, grant morrison has really started influence me lately though, the amount of subtle references is amazing. i dunno what else.... i work at penthouse magazine which is pretty rad, freelance, but still rad, i skate as much as i can, read as much as i can, and hate tv though im slightly addicted to seinfeld, which is a contradiction i guess, but i download em so its not really tv.

so besides all this, i guess like all of us here im interested in the conversations on the site, i just hope i have something worthwhile to add. enjoi!

Hi everyone.

I've just joined after a year (nearly two) of lurking- mainly in the Comics and Temple forums. I wanted to thank everyone involved in letting me join in the fun, especially Olulabelle and Tom. I think Barbelith is a terrific place and its a privilege to be a part of it.

Me: Old, very old. Male, live in Australia. I'm into comics, the western esoteric tradition (or whatever the kids are calling it these days), wisdom traditions in general, books, music, film, and any other kinds of art. Basically, whatever floats my boat and feeds me ideas to play with.

Thanks and I'll see you in the playground.

Invisible Queen
18:55 / 12.06.05
Halo. Some personal information, if anyone's intesrested:

I'm either Emil: A sad, lonely guy pretending to be a girl on the internet. Possibly with multiple personality disorder; diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome.

Or the Invisible Queen: A sentient imaginary friend occupying the body of my maker to communicate. On the internet.

Or Jenny Creed: An ancient semi-mythological time-travelling superhero empowered by an earth goddess, sort of a planetary immune system.

Or two or all of these things. It depends on how you want to see me.

I'm looking forward to talking to y'all.
