The Wisdom Of James Marsters

"We artists give the fire. That was what marked my performance on Buffy and Angel - the brutal passion of it."

What are your musical influences?
"I'd describe the sound as Jake Jackson meets Jet."

Awesome!

I've always had my cake and eaten it. You just have to keep making more cake.

How do I get those butts jumping and happy ?

Words to live by !

I say if it doesn't hurt then do it.

I believe suicide is painless.

I think you're being unfair on James. As a fellow artist, I know his pain.

But are you dripping with outrageous sex?

I know!

I mean, I enjoyed the man's work in Buffy & Angel, though I'm not sure that was because he "brought the fire".

But... Jet.

Jet!!

Oh, I thought he meant Joan Jett.

Sorry, "gave the fire".

I loved that interview.

Loved it.

Especially the last question.

He brought the fire because of Jet, you crazy man! The brutal passion, the outrageous sex they drip with... it all made him the man he is, was and shall be forever more.

His answer to the last question confused me - surely poor artists are outrageously sexy? They drip with it! Then they make it a talisman.

"OK, ready to shoot, Joss?"
"Yeah, but... where did all the sets go? Why have they been replaced with lumps of charcoal and piles of ash?"
"I..."
"Wait a minute... OK, which idiot brought the fire?"

We didn't start the fire.

"I suggest people avoid Juilliard as it will sap the fun out of any young artist they get their hands on. It was a horrible, nightmarish experience and people should stay away from it."

In Britain, you have to prove yourself more. You guys know how to make your own music here.

Yes. Yes we do.

Not like those fuckers in Europe. They do not know how to make their own music over there.

Once I made a mistake and made someone else' music. It was pretty embarrassing for all concerned and I don't really want to talk about it.

Dear Mr. Marsters,

I continually try to aspire to be the best person I can be by following your example, but try as I might I just don't feel I measure up, and I've tried it all. I can never get butts more than moderately excited, I touch the fire and it freezes me, and my sex...... far from being outrageous, is pedestrian at best and far too viscous to be considered "dripping". No matter how much cake I attempt to make, it never rises!

Please help me to make my own music,

Sincerely,

Ex-Juilliard

Marsters, like all great philosophers, will have had nothing but contempt for you, I fear.

Yeah, I'm past that now.

After reading that interview, I've come to the conclusion that darkstallion is, in fact, James Marsters. The whole Flyboy thing is just a red herring.

Love the man. LOVE HIM. And his, you know, his dripping. It's better than lube.

Amazingly, he does talk quite a bit of sense in between the bollocks though:

"We go through our lives most days feeling kind of grey so we want to hang out with artists who will give us a wonderful evening but who would probably give us headaches if we saw them all the time."

Plus, who doesn't want a nice ride once a week? Fnarr, grork, spoo, etc.
