Ideas for customising a spaceship

Ok...

I made this. What i want to know is, have any of you lot got any ideas for like, "customising" it and such, making it unique? If you were gonna have mottoes written on the wings what would they be, for example? Imagine it was your own spaceship you've just got, how would you make it your own?

Since you have a very delicate design, what I would do is change the green to a red and have: 赤蝶 (Aka Cho, meaning Red Butterfly in Japanese)written on the wings. Or if you want something a bit more iconic you can add a butterfly emblem favored by Samurai:

More on the butterfly emblem.

But I've been on a Samurai kick for the past month so I don't know... that's just what I'd do.

Please post the final results. I'm curious to see how it turns out.

Needs big fins. Fins, bullet lights, and a big, chromed grill.
And fuzzy dice.

Well, either it's for extra-atmospheric work, and therefore the drag from the hangy-downy bits doesn't matter - and the wings serve as mountings rather than creating lift;or the dangly bits need to fold away; or you need some kind of energy shield to all the thing to beat its own aerodynamics.

I figured the dangly down bits for landing gear.

After Impulsivelad's eloquent PM, I now present what became of the above. As I explained to IL, I was planning on knocking a short CGI film together but stuff got in the way. I can however show you various concept shots I knocked up for a ship and a character.

That upright blue stalk is like a warp-drive aerial, a crux of the plot was going to be that it had to be unarmoured to work and thus was always vulnerable, making for difficult situations.

I love the ship muchly - it's like a steampunk lego butterfly, and the combination of delicacy and lumpyness is very pleasing on the eye. How did you select the colours for it?
The alien design is interesting, and reminiscent of a Gug from the Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath. Which has to be a good thing. The only thing I'd say is that the eyes appear almost too human (unless that's the intention, of course).
I really, really like these things you make.

Well, I just looked at which bits "repeated" eachother- like the front and the two back bits- and made them the same colour, choosing a different colour fror the central bits. I tried out a bunch of different colour pairs but I found that orange and blue clashed in the right way for me. They're at opposite ends of the spectrum (I think).

Whao, that glowing rod thing looks cool… if this were my ship I’d call it the Angler (for obvious reasons.)
