I think it's all in their tummy.

Brand new puppies have tummies that smell of coffee. It might sound weird, but it's true, I swear.

(I have major problems with the word 'tummy'. It sets my teeth on edge. How much I like the badger-cubs is shown in my preparedness to type 'tummy' more than once.)

Where did you get these pictures, oulabelle?

There's a wildlife sanctuary in Somerset called Secret World which rescued some orphaned baby badgers.

These are they.

All I can think about now is the word "snuffle".

That's how cute they are.

That's a great name for a wildlife santuary.

It makes me sad that they're orphans, though

Okay, I posted a link to this one in another thread, but it's too cute not to do twice.

Excessively small!

That is unbelieveably cute....

I take it you work at secret world then?

No I don't but I live in Somerset, where Secret World is.

Whereabouts is it? Or is it a secret?

Me mum lives in Yeovil, y'see... being within an hour's drive of Monkey World almost makes it worth going down there more often.

I'm honestly unsure whether the baby badgers or the happy Unicron fill my heart with more joy.

God bless you, lovelies. Now we need shrews and lorises.

I just like the fact that there's a robot named Unicron.

What's a loris, Haus?

It's an Aye-aye and they're from Madagasgar. They're really rare because people think they're evil and so they kill them.

But they're not, they're lovely. You tell me he's not lovely.

I think that Aye-Aye is lovely but then my parents bought their first Siamese cat when I was 6 so evil things are just cute to me.

He's lovely. But he looks unnervingly human.

That aye-aye thing is positively adorable. But what is it? Is it a primate of some strange sort, or...?

the aye-aye is a type of lemur. i remember this from this documentary on lemurs hosted by John Cleese, which, by the way, you should see.

A lemur?? No kidding! Then they're double-extra spiffy. Quadruple even!

Also, John Cleese and lemurs sounds like my ideal Saturday night. I must find this documentary, or die trying. Preferably the former.

Phew! Spectacular, thank you! I have too many books to read to die just yet.
