I had a theory that it could be Spyder, but I'm not entirely sure he's alive, even as a Sheeda-zombie.

Anyone noticed that they changed the dialogue slightly in the paperbacks? From "you'd look good in a bikini" to "you'd look scrumptious in a bikini" in Klarion 4 for instance.

Did they? I haven't done a frame-by-frame.

Klarion 4 is full of small insignificant (?) changes. Will check the rest.

Good(ish) news:

Speaking of Morrison, Didio noted that Seven Soldiers #1, the conclusion of Morrison’s epic, is looking like it will be out in October.

The fourth TPB was originally solicited for July, so I'm guessing it'll turn up pretty quickly after the final issue. It's not a good delay, but at least the issue got bumped up to 48 pages, and in the long term, I'd rather have JHW drawing it than a fill in artist.

In the original schedule, the last TPB was sollicited just one month after issue #1.
So that would indicate a november relesae in this case.

Seven Soldiers had completely fallen from my radar, but as I visited the shop today, I asked if it had slipped my abo, too? And my trusty merchant reassured me, no, it would still be coming, sometime...

And I donīt care anymore. This "one of them shalll die" here holds no interest for me, since I donīt care who dies (except for Zatanna, hands off, Mortensen!). If the outrage is strong enough, so far every DC/Marvel character has returned from the grave anyway.

Many characters didnīt seem likable enough, that I would pick up an issue again, should they survive the sheeda shenanigans. I like Frankenstein, Zatanna and the Guardian, but the witch boy and the knight fell flat. I hope they survive for the sake of their pets.

But when the big issue finally arrives, Iīll reread them all. I didnīt understand, what Frankenstein did a billion years in the future. And the chance of reading all the issues at once might make me appreciate all the connections and correlations more.

interesting bit in yesterday's LITG:

EIGHTH SOLDIER

[Green Light]
JH Williams is completing "Seven Soldiers" 1 from a rejigged and delayed final script. He'll then work on Paul Dini's "Detective Comics" arc, with a couple of projects after that before starting up a new unnamed project with Grant Morrison for Vertigo.

that looks a bit like porno-spam for comic-geeks. You only need to hit reply once, Rex.

At the end of the day, to be this good takes... etc.

I'd rather wait for sega/ages than have a shit part in something this big. Especially don't want a shit finale to this thing.

But, you know, as soon as #1 comes out the sooner I can get TPB4, ya ken?

I thought this'd been covered; Grant didn't have the script ready for jhw3 when he was between Desolation and 'tec, and therefore he took the 'tec job, 'cos a artist gotta eat. Script has since been readied, and Williams (III) has taken a few issues off the batbook to draw the shit out of it.

I thought the Vertigo project he was doing with jhw3 was Supertrendy Young Doctor?

can't remember where he could have linked FQ to it, but all the better if both rumours turn out to be true.

I'm enjoying the hell out of his DCU work, but miss more new adventures in the Morrisonverse.

Y'know, I was wishing that Supertrendy Young Doctor would be the collaboration with Paul Pope that Grant mentioned... somewhere.
Because it kinda sounds like a Paul Pope thing.

Heat, the only reference I found on Google to STD [heh] with Paul Pope was a previous post by you...

I just read that Klarion will have a guest-spot in an upcoming issue of Robin, so that seems to rule him out as the one who dies.

It's looking more and more like it's either Shining Knight or Manhattan Guardian.

Both of whom have appeared in 52. I'm leaning more and more to the "8th Soldier" idea. Either Misty or Spyder.

We have mention of a "new Mister Miracle" in the recently announced McDuffie arc on Firestorm. I asked him if this follows from 7S, but he didn't answer.
