Mono is the new Stereo
20:19 / 15.12.04
Alright. I've been out of touch lately, but that's no excuse not to come hear me sing! The night will featurs a few other bands and/or some weird poetry, so come early (it's got to finish by 11 'cause it's at a pub).

Tuesday, 21st December. Upstairs @ 'The Red Lion' on Stoke Newington Church St.

p.s. for those who came to my 'gig' this spring: don't worry! it's a completely different group of people and we actually PRACTICE!!!

Brigade du jour
06:11 / 18.12.04
That sounds cool, I didn't know you were even in a band!

I'm supposed to be busy on Tuesday night but I'll try and persuade the people I'm meeting to go to your gig and wave and stuff. One of the people is Angela, by the way, you remember her, right?

Oh and I'm Stew, Stoatie's mate from work, in case the ficsuit was confusing you!

Well seeing as I missed the salon opening (how many bands are you in? - crazy scenes, crazy), I will be there barring illness or acts of God.

pointless and uncalled for
11:32 / 20.12.04
This sounds like an advent worthy event, barring £50,000 in non-sequential notes or axes of God I will be there.

sorry to shatter those illusions of coolness FB, but it's the same band. i am musically monogamous at the moment. we had to change the name after an internet search uncovered some american folk outfit that already had dibs on it. yankee bastards...

Were they a Christian folk band? Because you see, I had this theory...

A Haus of Minions
18:54 / 20.12.04
Oh, spunky birthday! Sorry, darlings, but I have two "must meets" that evening, and I'm not sure how I'll balance them...

Stoat-ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWAH
22:20 / 20.12.04
Going out for dinner... but hopefully should be able to make it afterwards. (Actually, I already told you that. Not sure why I'm posting this.)

Oh yes! That was it. There's late booze happens round these parts, so if anyone fancies another wee drinky after the gig, it could be pretty cool.

I may make it if I can rediscover my non bah-humbug, hey I'm a social butterfly! gland. I think I lost it in the hospital last week...

Hattie's Kitchen
18:46 / 21.12.04
Bugger, wish I could come to this, but I'm pre-booked. I'm sure it'll be blinding. Have fun, all.

Argh. When will I learn not to tempt fate? I am afraid I am full of flem and badness and do not expect to make it out into the cold, cold night... Sorry!

pointless and uncalled for
10:07 / 22.12.04
But did I get my £50,000?

Did I fuck.

Nevermind, Morning Bride are a talented bunch, if a little disorganised and well worth watching, although preferably not in the broom closet that is the upstairs of the Lion.

Note, this bar was formerly known as the Stoke Tup, which always made me want to open a bar in Phucket.

My head hurts.

That was cool, though.

Brigade du jour

Hey mono, I'm sorry I didn't come, but it was so cold, and Stoke Newington seemed so far away, and we were so drunk, and ... I'm just pathetic.

I hope it went really well though, hon. Big hugs.

mondo a-go-go

I was gonna go but Flyboy didn't respond to my text message and I didn't wanna go on my own. Next time!
