W-e-e-e-l-l... sort of. I mean, I think it's a great idea to apply the scientific method to one's practice where feasible. But in most cases it's not really possible--how would you gather a statistically significant sample, set up double blinds etc etc for a job spell? Making regular objective assessments of one's overall well-being and non-doucheyness is about as good as it can get, really. But I veer OTwards.

Jack Fear is correct, that guy's name should be M. Night Shazamshazamshazam. Although he'd probably die after being hit by magic lightning bolts all the time. But that would be a twist ending!

The Daily Express are advertising a feature on 'getting a bikini body.' Why would you want that? A body split in two pieces, one of which gets rammed up someone's arse? Just why?

I imagine that there probably just aren't enough moderators active in Film, TV and theatre, but I am obscurely pleased that the request to reopen the "Dark Knight" thread does not appear to have been actioned.

We're having our version of the Madeleine McCann case madness down here. Child fell six floors, one stupid detective says he suspects parents before anything, media explodes blame on parents before anyone can say the word "tragedy", "news" constantly "covering" it, sensationalist media outlets explodes preying on people's fears, crowds of people with pitchforks yelling "murderers!" on police station, and people around you suddenly become Grisson from CSI (*scrapes finger on crime scene* - "hmm, semen..." - *licks it* - "hmm, from a man. I know who did it.").

Fucking hell...

Do you get fetishist PCs, I wonder? Ones that get a real kick out of running emulators?

I only ask because mine seems awfully happy with the GBA emulator I use to play Pokemon. I do hope it's enjoying itself.

The court heard he has a "chronic alcohol problem" and had drunk the best part of a 10 litre box of wine.

The best part? Surely that must be the wine. God help the drinker if it's refering to the box.

I spend entirely too much time trying to not be an asshole, when clearly, being an asshole is, in fact, my natural state.

Lesson One: I shall learn to use people without guilt or hesitation.

Lesson Two: Yes father, I shall become a bat.

Less Three's where I start to lose the thread and just want everybody to be nice to each other for an hour or so. With tea and clouds under the glove tree.

I should spend more time in the pub.

Drinking at home may be cheaper, but recycling isn't infinite, and by doing so I'm using up a lot more cans.

Seriously, it's telling YOURSELF that's the difficult part. After that, telling everyone else is a piece of piss comparatively.

Despite all the fuss about how GTA games allegedly make you violent, GTA IV, like all its predecessors did when I was playing THEM, has only succeeded in making me very bad at crossing the road.

Having recently got quite good at tidying up, and then found out I'm being evicted so suddenly no longer giving a shit, I have to say...

...my computer room is AWESOME right now. There are so many dead Red Stripe cans (it's two deep in parts) which have that distinctive red'n'white colouring... it looks like the end of 300. And I didn't use ANY fucking CGI.

LITERALLY nothing is as comforting as a desk and a windowsill stuffed full of empty beer cans, and a bookshelf above your desk with empty beer cans acting as bookends for comics.

TRUE FACT.

Some budding film-maker steal this idea:
A zombie movie which taked place from the zombie's POV.
Some dude(tte) hanging with mates and then the world goes to shit. More and more zombies popping out of the woodwook, the gang running for safety, and then 40 minutes in, the M/C gets bit and turns. The 2nd 40 minutes is a combination of mostly 1st person POV and 28dayslater-esque attack sequences, giving the audience a sense of the urgency of what the zombie's going through and needing to feed... Seeing victims through the zombie's eyes and being chased by pistol and torch weilding cops. I would really like to see a sympathetic, victim portrait of the zombie: I mean, after all, it's not it's fault...
Cut shots of a mix of confusion and fear as the zombie gets gunned down by the military thusly ending the film.
Well... I'd go see it. Or rent it. Or download it... Too goofy? Been done?
