Sooo...I will be there on Saturday as my gorgeous gay male buddies will be coming down from up north for the day - however, I really could do with not having to watch the likes of Peter Andre (as lovely as my mates are, their taste in guys leaves a lot to be desired, but what do I know, I am a humourless lesbian)...so are any other 'lithers planning on attending, as 'twould be nice to check out the other tents and stuff...?

I was ponderning various bits of Pride. To wit, the Trafalgar Square speeches, and also possibly Gay Shame in the evening - the jazzed-up Ducky at Elephant and Castle. I think I'll give the Finsbury Park bit a miss, though - shall we use this thread for general Pride attendance possibilities?

Will definitely be at Gay Shame (bought the tickets) and possssibly in the march (if we get up early enough - y'know what poofs are like). Will likely give the Finsbury Park thing a miss, though.

Yeah Haus, by all means, should've thought of that myself...

I want to go to Trafalgar Square and should be there about 3ish, it looks like there are going to be some good speeches and I adore rallies of all kinds.

Anyone else going to Gay Shame? Apparently Amy Lame will be lesbi-boxing a lookylikey.

I'm so upset I can't go to Gay Shame...those of you going please think of me as I get to spend the evening at a family barn dance to celebrate my grandmother's third wedding.....

I kid you not

...life sucks sometimes.

Is your grandmother Amish? Will you be building the barn?

I'd be up for gay shame but have not been together enough to get any tix in advance - apparently there will be tickets on the door...

Tickets at the door are £15, against £10 in advance...

£10 tix can be bought in advance from the (rather lovely)Retro Bar....

I'm ducking (ho ho.) out, I'm afraid, knackered, skint, and most significantly, have familial duties on Sunday which probably are best not preceeded by Duckie action.

(grr. I will be sulking in the corner with psi-lock.)

Confront The Cunt for me, boys?

(No Ganesh she's not Amish...I think she's just a serial monogamist..though serial killer may be more appropriate given that this is her third husband...)

Was thinking of coming down for Brighton Pride Bengali...not been before, hope its less commercial than the London thing?

Psi: yep, it's free, for a start off, and although there are the big names, it's still much less of a pinkpoundfest than london, much more fun&chilled.

Right, i'm going to try and pick up a ticket at the retro bar tonight -

if i am successful is there anywhere that people'd want to meet up beforehand?

I never really went drinking in the elephant even when i was living in the area so the two places i'd suggest for meeting are a bit closer to waterloo...

1 the stage door on webber street

2 the white hart (cornwall road further away from elephant but almost guarenteed to be quiet...)

any preferences or better suggestions...

OK.... anyone want to meet pre-club?

With a normal group, it would be "You left your mobile in my jacket pocket" or "I have your lighter"...

*sigh*

I have copy of a book about Korolev that Sleaze left in my bag. Couldn't find you to say goodbye, Sleaze. Do you want it back or should I pass it back to AdeL?

Sorry, Haus; havenae seen it. Didn't see the lesboxing either, come to that. Good night, though, even if I didn't manage to get myself queerbashed.

Righty-ho. Russian astronauts back to Sleaze. No probs.

Oh, and the absence of lesbian boxing was a shame - did it happen and we misseed it, or did it just not happen?
And the queue for queerbashing was *insane*... I have a whole fistful of ducky dollars left...

I was off hot-dogging when everyone left! And Haus - You should be ashamed Korolev was the premier soviet rocket scientist - not an astronaut (or, more properly in this case, a cosmonaut)

So, do you have the book on you? Shall we meet up for a beer and book exchange tonight?
