I'm on for St Dunstans. I might well contribute to the supplies of champagne and strawberries this time round I think, as it looked like much more fun than the meagre lager and crisps I conjured up last time round. I also might try to not to smoke so much as to be entirely incapable of conversation, with anyone, at all, all evening - as per the other week.
Have we got a date for this sorted out yet?
Incidentally, does anyone know anything about the psychogeography of St Dunstans in the East. It crops up in volume one of the Invisibles, but I've never come across a source for that outside of the comic. Presumably George Morrison was referencing something, as its a fairly obscure location to just throw into the narrative otherwise. St Dunstans in the West, off Fleet Street, has got more psychogeographical stuff written about it because of the Gog and Magog statues. (Not so good a location for a picnic though). But St Dunstans East has always puzzled me. Not really an obvious London psychogeographical landmark. Anyone able to shed any light? |
