Yeah, sorry chaps. Have been busy. However, I hope to sort it out this weekend. You may stick me with pins if I do not.

i'd love to get the book at some point if it's not already...well...booked.

I has accidentally skipped a load of people by passing it to Ex - I thought she was the next person on the list for some reason. Sorry telyn. Illmatic sneakily jumped in as well.

telyn is in Turkey at the moment anyway so it's probably just as well.

I should get this done over the weekend and will send it on in a sprightly fashion to atone for the queue jumping.

I should also delete Haus' login cookies from my laptop. Sorry. Anyway, this is a bit of an odd question:

I picked up the book the day before yesterday - slightly nonplussed by the enormous white space of my pages, had a few ideas, nothing substantial.

Yesterday, London got bombed. I know there's a risk of looking like an idiot or a charity record bandwagon-jumper. But I am thinking of doing something about how incredibly helpful I found Barbelith yesterday. Had it not been for the board, I would have been sitting on my hands trying not to clog up the telephone networks with calls about people I don't know well but do like and appreciate. And everyone was very informative and supportive.

Would noting this with some art be too tacky for words, or too specific and issue-ish? I know a large part of that would depend on what I actually do with my intention. Any feedback useful.

How about using some of the posts from yesterday?

Tryphena Absent

I think you should. It's been difficult and there's no reason to ignore that.

Ta for that. Have done something, quite like it, and will post scans tomorrow if I can get the scanners working.

telyn hasn't responded - anyone got the skinny, or should I skip?

Just a post to stick my hand up and say I'm still up for this.

I'll ring telyn and ask if she's still interested.

Ou est la book de bleu now?

On my mantelpiece - Nina is getting back to me on telyn's whereabouts, and if she's not available, it's going to Gingerbop.

Sorry to lose momentum.

Does Gingerbop currently have the book?

Is there space in the book for more contributors?

Yo, I have the book and am not in Turkey. Next on the list => Gingerbop. I'll do some scanning too. It is a beautiful thing.

Has Gingerbop now got the book?

I know that I have been somewhat absent from the board of the past nine or ten months but I would still like to participate. Naturally I can understand if I am relegated to the bottom of any participation list but if the sacred tome is still in London then I would quite like to catch it before I leave for the colonies.

Alternatively I could transport the artifact (bordering on fetish for some) across the Atlantic in a safer fashion than the tender hands of Royal Mail and Canada Post.

Is there a book traveling across america?

if it does get to oakland, i'd love to see it.

Has the wandering notebook ever been in North America?
if not perhaps we could start one. I'm just thinking it must be expensive to send it across the ocean.
What do you think?

Olulabelle
22:25 / 12.10.05
The first one (the red book) originated on the other side of the Atlantic, and was gaily travelling betwixt people when sadly it stumbled in the hands of a bad, bad lad who henceforth shall be known as Kwendecentral. The blue book was started to go the other way around the world, so we didn't have to wait years on this side of the planet for the red one.

Now I wish someone would post about where this one was. Lack of answers is starting to feel like a horrible portent that this one is going the same way as t'other.

I see, that's very sad that it stopped.
sounds like a merry quest though.

I still have the book because a, I am really slow, and b, just after I got something deeply rubbish happened that took up lots of time. I'm just about to get the scans to Grey Area, finish my bit in it and send it on to Gingerbop.

Hurrah! For getting stuff done... eventually.

so you've sent the scans and you've finished your bit?
or you're gonna?
i'm hoping for the first, by the way.
is gingerbop ready?
prime her then send it and let's get this thing moving again.

please.

Scans done, processed, mailed etc... blue book packaged and just double checking where gingerbop is before I post it off into the void.

It isn't very blue at all. Where does it go next, could anyone tell me? I've got a bit lost, and also confused as I thought I was recieving wandering notebook #3. Wrong indeed.

Tis very lovely. May Tricks, I believe is the creator of the cats cradley things? Lovely. Very lovely indeed. Lots of loveliness.

I did try to tell everyone...

I don't think it's been across the Atlantic yet, so the cat's cradle will probably be someone else's. Not sure who's next tho' -it might be time for it to go to another continent actually!

The list.

Not a strict, official list - if people aren’t around one week or another, I think it’s probably okay to skip them a little bit, just as long as they get added in again later. Or something. But anyway, there’s the fully wikified list, with full click-on-the-names-to-send-a-PM functionality and everything. For your comfort and convenience.

The scans section down at the bottom of that wiki page needs some updating... is anyone still up for hosting any scans, *which* pages were recently sent to Grey Area, has he yet returned to the barbe-fold from his thesis-writing exile, etc etc. Hopefully when he surfaces he’ll still be clutching notebook #3.

Sekhmet
16:14 / 17.11.05
Grey has been active on LJ, at least - I'll go poke him.

Huzzah, only 26 people between me and the blue book now! At this rate, I will only be about 42 years old by the time I get it.

Bed Head
16:35 / 17.11.05
Yeah, but only a few of those are properly active posters, Sekhmet. By all means, prune the list now if you want to. There’s a section down the bottom for dumping everyone that’s been skipped along the way/that might need putting back in, so if anyone objects to being pruned, they can easily be restored to wherever they were in the queue. Such is the wonder of wikis. The POWER of a GOD in your hands.

Give him a nice poke from me.

'ello. Not finished with thesis yet. I'll upload the scans this weekend, and I've got Book #3 ready to go to the post office, along with a bunch of other thingythings that needed posting a fortnight ago. Apologies for the delay. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programme.

Ok, so Lilly Nowhere should be next then. I'll try and get it off to her by the end of this week. What a lovely book indeed. x

I'm going to be bound for North America on January 8th so if you would like to assure safe passage unhindered by the tender ministrations of Royal Mail, USPS and Canada Post, I would be more than happy to take the book and begin circulating it there.
