For the information of those running Audioscrobbler in Winamp 5+ and are about to install Service Pack 2: SP2 has compatibility issues with Audioscrobbler. If you have Audioscobbler installed in Winamp 5+, Winamp will close immediately upon opening and you'll get the generic crash message. The only solution I've found so far is to remove Audioscrobbler entirely.

Tom, I actually have iTunes for windows and love it very much. Certainly the best music program I've used, though the *shuffle* still seems to leave a bit to be desired. Will there be a shuffle function invented to satisfy me? iTunes DEFINITELY seems to play favorites.

I was talking about the audioscrobbler plug-in for iTunes. I just want to know if it's easy to get off my computer if it causes problems.

You know you can configure the shuffle in iTunes so it doesnt play favorites...

This is cool, especially how it blends in with iTunes so well.

Anyone know why it would miss some tracks that I'm playing? I play the song the whole way through, but it still doesn't pick it up. I'm using the newest Winamp, have there been any issues with that?

Occasionally it seems that there is a problem with the id3 tags. If you are really anal, and update all of those, those tracks should register. At least that's my experience.

Hey, can someone let me into the Barbelith group?

It's so lonely and cold all alone.

Has the top 40 singles chart ever truly been reprisentative?

So true. A While ago I was watching VH1's Most Awesomely Bad Songs Ever or whatever it is, and I noticed that almost every single one of those songs has been in the top 40 (many of them in the top 10), and now they're being ridiculed on national television by the same people who once proclaimed their greatness (or rather... their popularity). Follow that up with a double dose of VH1's One Hundred Greatest One Hit Wonders (William Shattner laughing at himself for "Rocketman") and MTV's Credible One Hit Wonders, and I'm left having very little faith in the record buying public. I mean, who buys singles anyway? Radio DJs? I know I don't. It's not worth buying it three songs for $6 when i can get fifteen for $12.

When creating Awesomely Bad Songs, they can't bring out what are really the worst songs because if something's that bad, odds are it would not make it to the mainstream. Awesomely Bad is mainly designed so that people can hear the song, remember it, and laugh at it a bit.

The thing I find funny is all specials like that always have the exact same songs. I never heard the song 'Rico Suave' back in the early 90s, but if you watch VH1, you can't help but hear about its awfulness.

So I have a question for all of you:
How close is your closest match?

Mine seem to be topped out at 55.5%, but I did leave an album playing on repeat overnight, which I think skewed things.

I've been on last.fm for quite a while now, and only recently joined Barbelith. The only real problem I have with last.fm is the difficulty I have when I scrobble from both my computers and my ipod, but I works as long as I'm careful.

Oh, and I'm tim_molinari. Let me in the group, please?
