Absolutely. Barbelith uses a form of sawn-off HTML, which allows italics, bold type, links, picture links, and not much else. For the full gory story, check out this section of the FAQ.

Bear in mind that HTML doesn't work in titles or, I think, summaries.

Incidentally, you don't have to look through "all 12 pages here" to find the thread you need, either--there's a search function waaaaay down at the bottom of each main forum page. It's a bit rudimentary, but it does the trick most of the time.
