If it's any consolation, speed-dating can be quite fun. You get to gossip about who's drunk and so on afterwards, and if it's anything like the time I went, I'd say anyone who was genuinely looking for love, or even something much briefer there was probably looking in the wrong place. Five minutes, per person, of putting your best foot forward, or just plain lying about what you do for a living being fairly unfertile ground for the seeds of romance.
So it could just be a quirky date, you know? If nothing else, you'll have lots to talk about afterwards. |
