But seriously, folks, if there's a lesson to be learned here, it's this:

Be sure to write the address of the next person down on a real, solid piece of paper as soon as you get it. That way, when your stupid fucking roadrunner modem stops working, again, you can still send the notebook on in a timely fashion.

Bitchiekittie, I share your affinity for glue. Especially PVA. I saw an ad for a nursery school auxilliary. First thing I squealed was "I'LL GET TO PLAY WITH GLUE!" Not sure if I can say thats why I want the job in my CV though. 'Yeah, I love kids, honest...'

I think this book is a lovely idea. I'd always seen the thread title but thought it was a thread for people who werent at home to jot things down to remember them. Oops.

Before I say anything else I deeply apologise but I will not be able to put the notebook in the post before Saturday due to some unfortunate and unforseen circumstances.

I'm really sorry and I hope this doesn't ruin the spirit of the thing and my unimpressive contribution to this excellent and inspiring book.

If there's something I can do to redeem myself please say so.

Well if it averages 13 days with each participant, and assuming instant transmission, I am 20 people away from receiving the book. 20 x 13 = 360 so I'll get it in a year's time and it's a toss up whether Gingerbop gets it before her bus pass arrives....

Yeah was thinking about this myself, can I make a small plea for people to be quick when they're doing their thing, just spend a few days doing it and don't stress too much about getting it just so.

And I don't even want to think about how long it will take to get to Australia and Finland.

In a similar vein, I'd just been trying to work out if I'll have made the transition from being Vincennes, Glasgow to being Vincennes, London by the time the notebook makes it to the UK, and am increasingly sure that this will be the case...

yeah... way back when we were suppose to spend no more than 5 days on 3 pages (is that rght?).... should it be trimmed down to no more than 4 days on 2 pages? Which may average out to a lag factor of 8 days?

this would make a 15 person at 13 days (195 days = about 6 months untill it's on the west coast --- and possibly in my hands!!!)

to about 15 people at 8 days (120 days =ing about 4 months) hmmm... Thank that gods we're not sending it to iceland or argentina.... or are we???
