How much did it cost to FedEx, BK? Does the tracking stay up after it has arrived? If it does we should all send it by FedEx and then the tracking can be part of the project too. Yeay, life imitating art imitating life imitating...

So we can stick stuff in the notebook, and people won't flip out and try and kill me for it, even if it kinda impeedes their ability to write? I got an idea...

around $9. I'm not sure how long it stays up, but theres a different tracking number for each shipment, so unless we catalog each number and people are willing to plug them all in....and I'd give you the tracking number anyway, but I'm not certain what identifiable information might be found with it (for example, qalyn's or my name/address).

pin, my stuff isn't 100% flat either, but the paper is nice and thick so I don't think it will keep anyone from writing against it if they wanted to

I'd say we want to basicly keep the book as a recognisable book.

pounding nails through it might make for a cool artistic statement but may well work against the spirit of the project. The same may well hold true for say sawing the book in half or dipping it in a polymer resin.

my suggestion for a rule of thumb:

you have complete autonomy with-in the 2D space of 2-3 pages. Moving into 3D or into a "meta" level of the book could influence others, and they should be considered.

My 2cents

Has anyone seen www.20things.org before. It's a bit like what we're doing here, but without a travelling notebook...ok it's only slightly like what we're doing but still relevant

I'm sorry, I missed the part where I figure out how to pass my address on. Will I be getting PM-ed about it?

Mr Tricks
01:27 / 15.11.03
As I understand it... the person who currently has the book will PM the person schedualed to recieve it next. Get their address, mail it out and post on he wandering notbook travel log.

yes?

no?

someone said a week was a fair amount of time to have it...do you think we could settle on this as a good rule to try to stick by, or do you think its too long?

my vote is a week. that gives allowance for whatever might be going on that would keep you from allotting a couple of hours on the thing, and time to make it to the post office.

bitchiekittie

and don't forget we have a separate notebook log, to make its movement easier to track!

A week sounds good - if I don't have that kind of limit I know that I'm going to think to hard about what I'm going to do and keep it for way too long!
