We needs a flatmate! Small room in the centre of Stokey if anyone's interested (£350 pcm but that might be up for negotiation, possibly). To share with 3 others.
PM me a number if you're interested.

Cheers

New advert - my mate J asked me to post this:

STOKE NEWINGTON, Manor Road/ parallel to Church St.
For the end of March (poss. early April)

Huge double room, high ceilings, wooden floor looks out over the garden, £330 (incl. Council Tax but not incl. bills). Sharing with four lovely friendly people, teacher, artist, graphic designer and student (who is finishing her course and moving out in May). The house is a wee bit ramshackle but almost unique in the sense that it is big enough to be private and quiet but you can just as easily be very sociable. Lovely big garden too, which is great in the summer!

Absolutely in the centre of Stoke Newington, 5 minutes from Stoke Newington Church St. (73 and 393 bus) with lots of really good restaurants, coffee shops and great little shops it is a fantastic location.

10 minutes walk from the Stoke Newington High Street which has bus routes to almost everywhere, and also Stoke Newington Station which takes you to Liverpool St. in 15 mins.

I've been living here four years now, its a really nice combination of people in the house at the moment, I still love the area, and think the room is ultimately a bargain!

*d'bump*

Mate of mine's got a massive room to let on Stoke Newington High St. 100 pcm sans bills (I think they'd work to around 50 pcm, but I'll doublecheck). Living with three very nice Englishmen in their mid 20's - activities ranging from video post-production to theatrical... er.. stuff (I think one's a writer/promoter/director). Nice place, two floors with a secret roof-top place to hang in the summer (not a terrace as such), big lovely kitchen, decent bathroom, great people. See above and elsewhere on the board for extollations of the virtues of Stokey. Plus if you're into music you'll be living a very feeble stone's throw from Barden's Boudoir, and a couple more from The Vortex. Etc etc etc. PM for more info. I'll update as soon as I know exactly when it's available + other vital info.

You moving to N16, Seth?

(though if it's a stone's throw from Bardens and the Vortex, I'm sure it's really Dalston masquerading as Stoke Newington)

Dunno about parking space, I can check that out. As for location - it's a 10-15 minute walk from Dalston Kingsland train station. North of Barden's. Pretty close to Stoke Newington Green too... I'd say a 15 minutes leisurely walk from the flat. It's on the High Street, anyways.

Well, y'know, me and the soon-to-be-wife will be looking at places around London from around September. I've seen both the Stoat and SFD talking the big guns about Stokey - what's the deal - why so marvellous?
