I got banned from the official Simpsons forum after a rather negative tirade concerning "Worst Episode Ever." Like many activists, I was censored by the powers-that-be (much like Gandhi or Jesus). But I showed them...I showed them all....

I really liked Transformers when I was young. I've got all the Marvel UK ones from #79 or so. It ended at #332, I think. Sometimes, I watch the movie and make up bullshit Lit. Crit. interpretations of it for fun (Megatron's Faustian pact, capitalist/socialist dynamics as expressed by giant robots, etc.)

I tenmd to be even ruder and more flippant on Delphi than here, because I haven't got as much invested with the people—the sense of community isn't as tight.

I got gagged on the WEF shortly before it closed, for suggesting (one day when Ellis was moaning that the day of its closing couldn't come soon enough for him) that he should just shut up and close it already, right then 'n' there, instead of waiting for the appointed day.

I also got booted off the V, the forum of the aforementioned Nick Locking, for saying inflammatory things about grown-ups who read Harry Potter—not just gagged, but actually banned. Which surprises me, because the level of piss-taking at the V is generally quite high and ruthless. Some people just love their Harry Potter, I guess.

I nearly got banned from the freerepublic, and ultra-conservative bbs I briefly surfed once, but due to the general blandness and niceness of my posts, I got off with an offer to join a libertarian forum. Not sure if that counts.

I got suspended from The DC boards for a few weeks once. They had a Preacher board, and everyone pretty much gets along in there, discusiing Preacher. One day this kid (maybe he was an adult, I hope not) posts a message in the room saying that Garth Ennis and all the readers of Preacher were going to Hell. It's just this ranting and raving fire and brimstone post. Well, everyone went crazy. Insult after insult was heaped upon this guy. So does he defend his opinion? Naw, he goes to the Superman room, gets some artist (Mike Miller. Mike Miller's a Jesus Freak who got into arguments over stuff like Kryptonian magic being too occult, and as a Christian he didn't feel comfortable drawing stuff like that. Eventually they booted his ass, but it was like 2 yrs after this whole Preacher thing) to come in to the Preacher room and start insulting us for picking on a Christian, and saying Garth Ennis had serious problems he'd have to answer for in the afterlife. Again, everyone went apeshit on Mike, and the thread was closed. I was pissed, so I called Mike out on the Superman board, the thread was deleted, and I was warned. Then I got really pissed and started a thread in just about every room insulting Rob Kamphausen's mother (sorry Rob) and Mike Miller. Curse words don't register at the DC Boards, but the word CUNT came out fine. I was banned for about a month.
