Huh? I'm bored, Cardiff is boring, I need some S. Wales loving and I'm looking for it here. Are you all lurking, I sense your presence somewhere in the deep depths of 'litherdom, reveal yourself. REVEAL YOURSELF! There's got to be someone - are you in Swansea? I can do Swansea or Bristol or Bath or Casnewydd (see I can even use Welsh words in written form). Well I grew up in Cardiff but, I'm afraid, now live in London. Whether or not I'm part of the contingent I really couldn't say.

I'll be down in the 'Diff this weekend though, to see Nemesis with a mate (none of my London 'crew' are feeling Star Trek). PM me if you wanna hook up. Where are the hip nite spots in the old town these days?

Newport is ridiculously close so I may very well see you in March- though Wales is not the place to have non-pub meets as it has no good cafe's and is alcohol heaven!
And I say pah to your football and the Millenium Stadium's a 15 minute walk from my house at most so you could walk past me along St. Mary's Street without even knowing it.

In answer to the question Newport is only about 15 minutes from Cardiff by train and they're pretty frequent.

I have had a lot of stuff come in over the weekend so could I please beg this one off to nearer the end of the month when I have a bit more free time?

On another note, I've made a late new year resolution to frequent a gig every week, starting in February.

Can current/past Cardiff 'lithers point me to music venues around Cardiff? With Indie/artsy kind of bands - I'm not that interested in frequenting sweaty metal gigs, or foppish student modern pop/rock (*abusive comment on fashion and haristyles of Cardiff youth deleted*)

Red Concrete, have you tried the Cardiff Barfly? Also the Valleys are good. There is Tom's in Treforest which is cool and has bands like Skindred. Mixmage's band play a lot of venues in Wales. To pimp a little bit, check out Planetman's site.
