Photos (PICS)- not necessarily safe for work, though that's not an excuse for wanton exhibitionism. Not everybody wants to meet Mr Peterson or, indeed, his friends.

You and I appear to have the same (not terribly common) eye color.

Is that a scarf? Or some sort of odd turtleneck cutaway contraption?

That's cool grant, maybe it's a Florida thing. I get all kinds of readings on my eye color. I've even gotten orange. Yeah it's a scarf, and I think I'm wearing a white tank top under it - or something is on my shoulder anyway, but why I was wearing a huge scarf with a tank top is a complete mystery to me. ????

Todd, you remind me of a bouncer in this picture - I think it's the pose and the black t-shirt. Nice. Your apartment looks gorgeous by the way. High celings.

I think Nietzsche Coyote needs to organize his bookshelf.

Whoa. Where are your glasses? Don't you wear glasses?

I could have sworn you wear glasses.

If our forearms were to have a face off, say... in a knife fight. Mine would be a bloody mess.

Hey T.O.D.D., I can't believe you lied to us the Mafia thread. That silver cocktail shaker orgasmatron picture was waaaay sexy. Had such sweet puppy-dog eyes ...

None of these photos have computers in them, but each time I look I expect to something technological, lurking in the background. Or lots of books. Or in some cases, model airplanes. Or something. Maybe a big pile of physics jumpers (the stripy ones that make your eyes hurt).

Gosh harmony, you're not suggesting that people on Barbelith are geeks, are you? And not just any kind of geeks; stereotypical sad techy geeks, who dress in the same really dreadful clothes. And have model aeroplanes, or technical things. The worst kind of geek. Nerds, even. Geeks are really sad, aren't they? I mean, pictures of geeks never show them engaged in non-geeky pursuits; just being sad, in their "physics jumpers" in their rooms, working on a 1:4 scale Airfix model of a Super Star Destroyer. Sadly, I can't find a geeky enough photo of me at the moment, but when I do, I'll submit one. Alongside a 1:10 Millenium Falcon for scale.

Lolita nation -

Thank you for the kind words about my apartment. I spent all day sunday cleaning it.

If you're truly a fan of high ceilings, you would die for my last place. I conservatively estimate the ceilings at 13 feet, and since it was a 'historic' building it had these awesome wooden window shades (there must be a technical name for this, but I don't know) inside, from floor to ceiling. Great light, but massive climate control issues. If I can find a snapshot I'll post it to my journal.

I really miss that place.

I don't really care about ceilings. Could bind myself in a nutshell & count myself queen of infinite space, etc, etc. But it's the question of living in an e. village nutshell for So Long. I haven't straightened my legs all the way out for four years now. You get cramps.

I'm picturing you in "being john malkovich" right now, living on floor seven-and-a-half. It seems terribly appropriate, for some reason.

As I said earlier in the thread, here is a new pic I got scanned recently. It`s from our last gig:

If it turns out this one cannot be displayed, I`ll transfer it tomorrow to another server and it should be fixed.

Everyone here is so glamorous. Even Qalyn in a Decline of Western Civilization sort of way. Jade is a rock star and Todd is the bouncer to a very bright and empty, but indubitably exclusive club of some kind. And Orr reminds me of an actor or maybe an insurance salesman. Except me, I'm the guy from "Being John Malkovich." Haha Todd, the first thing I thought when you said that was, "I wonder if I would look fat in an apartment that small."

I probably shouldn't have said that out loud.

I have to leave this thread now. My inner fashion police brat is coming out.

Bringing up the earlier discussion of reflection vs. photograph - \

Your face is not symmetrical. You're accustomed to seeing the topography of your face in reverse, and so when presented with the actual image of your face it appears as though everything is slightly out of place.

Whenever I want to check how good one of my drawings is, I hold it up to a mirror. I'm usually horrified at how wonky it appears in the reflection. Of course, I can then go back and correct the drawing. I'm stuck with my face...

So is the consensus of opinion that I should shave off the under-lip shadow?
