The thing that gets me about the video of the guy being tased is the way he is so obviously resisting unthreateningly - he keeps holding his hands way up in the air, look-ma-no-hands-style, and doesn't let go of his notepad. He's so aware of the need to not look aggressive - he keeps moving away from rather than toward anybody, keeping his hands up in the air.

I still think that when you get surrounded by cops who really want you to hold still and they're telling you they're going to tase you if you don't, the way to not get tased is to hold still, but the notion that this guy was a physical threat to anybody is ludicrous.

I kind of don't get it - has anybody ever known the cops to let go once they've decided to grab you and start hustling you out of the [library, auditorium, other]? Is there ever any ending other than you not being in the room they don't want you to be in? I can understand resisting if it's important to you, but dude, seriously - a group of armed people want you out, you're going out.
