Acceptable and unacceptable - in terms of posts to and behaviour on Barbelith, what do these mean? It's been said that you can express almost any opinion here, as long as you do it politely, and are prepared to listen to people who disagree with you. Is this true? Is it only the way things are expressed that make them unacceptable, and when does something tip over from being irritating to some members of Barbelith to unacceptable to Barbelith as a whole? Thoughts on functionality concerned with multiple users on the same computer
I've been thinking around a way to minimise the effects of trolls on the board - particularly those operating multiple accounts, and particularly given that I'd like to be building more stuff involving board-wide voting - and I'd like to check with people around one idea that could impact on groups of barbelites who regularly use the same computer to post to the board. Opinions please.

The new board has launched, it's full of bugs but at least it's out in the bloody open and that means that I can start thinking about something else for a change. So here's my suggestion - old mods give the young 'uns some pointers towards what is and what is not acceptable moderatorial procedure - or to put it in another way - "How to suggest moderator actions that we'll vote 'agree' on"...
