Full name: Zatanna Zatara. Resident of San Francisco, California. She is half human and half Homo magi (the race of Arion, Mage of Atlantis). Her father is the famous golden age hero Giovanni "John" Zatara, and her mother is Sindella, a Homo magi. Giovanni always wanted to be a magician like his grandfather, Luigi Zatara. Zatanna's father found and researched some books by his direct ancestor, Leonardo Da Vinci(also one of the Homo magi line) to gain his powers. Zatanna would like to get these books back.

In addition to her powers, Zatanna has skills in stage magic, escapology, lock picking, boxing, pickpocketing, security systems, animal care, supernatural research, and speaks the lost language of the Homo magi. Ex-girlfriend of John Hellblazer Constantine.
