For some reason, the "#0" wasn't being read by the wiki. So I guess we should avoid using the "#" symbol in issue names. At least with a zero next to it...

Duncan:Yeah, I thought that. Okay.

Anyway, I appreciate the notes, but you (and anyone else) can feel free to run roughshod over my items; reparse, whatever. They're generally very basic.

EDIT:hmm, I thought 'add comment' would note user.

D: On Zatanna #1, I'm sure it's in San Francisco. And I'm sure Winter did play a part in the seance in Swamp Thing (can't check either right now, sorry) so it would be a case of seven succeeding there.

Yeah, the seven/six thing was an edit by that Brhyan character which didn't make sense to me. I don't remember seeing San Francisco landmarks, but I do seem to remember her living there.

  • Yeah, it definitely is SF. I put it on the character bio, and there's a mention in #2.

Let me see if this works here: Grant 12:36, 4 Oct 2005 (EDT)

Grant, i noticed that you redirected your Current events page to WikiSpam. May i offer a suggestion? To avoid spam you can also Lock certain pages. This might not matter to you but since there is a Current Events link in your left frame, it might be confusing to people or whatever. I think one would have to have admin privledges or admin-like privs. Just a cosmetic thing. cheers, -Kunda 11:16, 17 Dec 2005 (EST)

Well it's up to an admin to lock things, and I'm not one. Alas. -- grant 11:46, 16 Feb 2006 (EST)

Oh, and I want to create a Stone Soup page for some meddling.

So, you like the buttons? Yay!

You get one by doing a table, it’s basically the same thing that Bystander has been doing on all the 7S annotation pages, but with a background colour (Feel free to change the colour, by the way. I just like the Parma Violet effect). I found a ‘how to’ page about tables here (http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Table) and just couldn’t resist trying it out. And I think it could be a useful way of getting a grey (or whatever) text box that you won’t need to worry about the text running out of and off the side of the page. I tried it on the Gathering page the other day - the background colour lasts to the end of the block of text, but the text *will* just wrap around, however narrow your window is. No more sideways scrolling off the screen.

I might even try sweeping thru a whole bunch of annotation pages and sticking this in instead of the ‘leaky’ grey boxes we’ve got now. Although, I dunno, that’d be an awful lot of grey boxes to change. And hey, did you ever see this? How I first found out how to do tables - I was trying to figure out a revamp of the Main Page to make it more obviously useful, mmmaybe got a bit carried away and a bit *Colours! Pretty pretty colourrsssss*. But that's me. Bed 18:04, 14 Sep 2006 (EDT)

  • Something to put on my "things to learn" list. I've never seen the Beardy Spock page -- the wicked bastard. -grant 12:25, 15 Sep 2006 (EDT)

Oh, by the way, grant - I noticed your comment here about possibly putting cover images into the 7S annotations but being worried about unfortunate repercussions. So, anyway, 'been chatting with a couple of the barbe-artists, and there’s the vaguest notion floating around that some of us might - hopefully - be able to organise ourselves to recreate the covers. In authentic copyright-avoiding, super-cool barbe-art style. Which might be nice, if it comes off. Bed 18:17, 14 Sep 2006 (EDT)

  • That would be nice. Pictures make for a happy web presence.-grant 12:25, 15 Sep 2006 (EDT)

(Using the user:talk thing because I can't add to the Main Page discussion page. Stupid fucking spambots.)

So, Is there a reason why I'm not seeing a Table of Contents on the Main Page? - hm, I suppose that might just be a default Main Page-type thing, but looking at this Table of Contents (http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Table_of_contents#Table_of_contents_.28TOC.29) page, it seems to suggest you can maybe *make* a content-y bit appear, by shouting "FORCETOC!!". Or maybe just by quietly typing FORCETOC. I'd try both, myself. - Bed 16:54, 21 Sep 2006 (EDT)

  • I think you can edit if you "unprotect" first. Maybe not. --grant 17:54, 21 Sep 2006 (EDT)

Hey, good work with the dedicated Spam-fighting over the last few days. Kudos to you.
