The Old Lady

From Barbelith

The best friend of Jenny's granny. They've been partners in crime since they made the trip over from China on the boat as little girls way back when and have been running the medicine shop for many, many years.

Jenny knows her only vaguely, as the woman who used to ruffle her hair or sit in the corner drinking tea as Jenny played on the rug with her dolls or trucks. The lady, however, through gossipy granny-wisdom, knows Jenny very well indeed. Perhaps better than Jenny knows herself.

She is Jenny's new employer for the duration of the game, sending our heroine on errands and giving her odd-jobs, which seem to end up a lot more complicated and a lot more educational than they first look.

There is more to her than meets the eye. She's been around the block a bit and she's seen her fair share of wonders. She has connections in high, low and sideways places and it's just possible she has a bigger picture in mind....
