Talk:Seven Soldiers Timeline
From Barbelith
I'd like it if these were expanded to say what exactly happened when. (Ystin knighted by Galahad.)
Also, there was some figgering around Guardian and Klarion, where they pieced together who came down the Secret Subways first -- not the same time, exactly.
Reshuffle.
What's the rationale behind the reshuffle there? I'm sure mine wasn't perfect, but it does seem a bit wholesale. Obviously, there's no objective placement on some things - e.g. many of the #1's and #2's could occur either before or after #0.
Duncan. (How d'you do the signature thing again, anyone?)
I did the reshuffle. At first I was just going to move a few things around and then I got carried away. I had all the issues of Seven Soldiers laid out on my bedroom floor the other day and I physically shuffled them around trying to figure out where they go chronologically. It was fun. The order I picked is loosely based on the order and logic proposed in this post (http://www.barbelith.com/topic/19871/from/595#post538747) with a few changes.
I placed Frankenstein #1 and Klarion #1 after Seven Soldiers #0 because they both have Sheeda in them. My logic was that Neh-Buh-Loh declaring "The Harrowing has begun" in #0 marks the beginning of the Sheeda invasion and any examples of Sheeda activity in the modern day must take place after that.
Manhattan Guardian #2 and Klarion #2 happen at the same time and form continuations of MG1 and K1 which must happen immediately before hand. Mister Miracle must happen soon after MG1 and MM2 continues from MM1. I believe K3, MM3, and the continuous sequence SK3-SK4-Z3 all happen the same night, one day before B2. SK2 happens "two nights past" from Z3. F2 has to happen sometime after K4. And I think MG4 is a direct lead-in to SS#1, so I put it at the very end.
Hey, I just took a stab at it based on my interpretation and anyone else is welcome to reshuffling to their liking. I'm sure there are some areas that are flexible, some areas that will become more clear once the remaining issues come out, and some areas I just got wrong. I'm curious to see someone else's take. I'm just waiting for someone with different ideas to come along and switch it up all over again.

Nah, yer right, it is open to interpretation. I did the same last night, was fun. Funny thing, I wonder if that train crash in Bulleteer 1 is connected to Guardian? And you can see the progress of Gloriana moving across the country. S'cool.

Well, I was carefully setting down the issues based on inside references instead of what I 'thought' was happening, but if you want to shuffle everything around, it's not my problem.
