Talk:Seven Soldiers 0

From Barbelith

It's likely Gimmix's comment about the "real Boy Blue" was in reference to Thomas "Tommy" Rogers, who as a youth in the 40's fought as "Little Boy Blue". More info about the character here (http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Labyrinth/7393/wwlbb.html).

As Tommy was without powers, it's unlikely there's a direct connection between he and the new version.

Ooo! I'm copying that out to the main page, if that's OK -- grant

Go right ahead. I'dve done it myself, but I wasn't sure which page it fit best on.

Re: the Seven Unknown Men setting Dalt up to die. The way I read it was that they were referring to the "upgrade" process itself; that is, they (metephorically, probably) had to kill Thomas Dalt, alias The Spider, in order to create I, Spyder.

---

Similar elements occur in Morrison's favourite self-written work, The Filth; in its first issue, the main character (like Tom Dalt) feels his world turn upside down while leaking multi-coloured fluid down a drain, and later in the series we meet a couple of characters very similar to the Time Tailors - Man Green and Man Yellow, to whom 'time means nothing'.

Worth checking out, is what I'm saying.

Also - could Unknown Man #7 be Grant Morrison? He could be Grant, remaining behind to punish Zor in SS#1 - as time means nothing in Slaughter Swamp - or even just Grant writing the story! SalieriTheFish 09:20, 4 Sep 2008 (EDT)

I'm going to unprotect the Seven Soldiers 0 page for editing so that you can add information to the main article if you want. A while back we had to lock down a lot of the pages in the Seven Soldiers wiki to prevent a flood of spam links. If there are any other protected pages that you want to update, leave a note here or on the Talk:Seven Soldiers Annotations page and I'll gladly uprotect the requested pages for editing.
