InvisiblesBackground
There’s lots of interesting things to be said about Billy Chang. In some ways, he could be read to be the mastermind of the whole story, controlling events from beyond time. In other readings, he's simply an unflappable Chinese gangster who knew how to work his mystique to the max.

- Grant-morrison.com has missing dialogue from Vol 3, issue 6 (http://www.grant-morrison.com/invisibles3.6.htm) that mentions Billy Chang as a "higher-dimensional midwife," but also makes clear that the fictional Billy Chang is meant to be the same figure as the real Billy Chang who went to jail.

- A history of cannabis in the UK contains a mention of Brilliant Chang (http://www.ukcia.org/culture/history/colonial.html), a restaurant owner and alleged drug kingpin -- and contemporary of another accused drug mastermind, a Jamaican jazz musician named Eddie Manning.
