Sally Sonic's real name is Sara Smart.
Sara possess a magical whistle that when blown transforms her into the super-strong, invulnerable, flying superhero Sally Sonic.
As a side-effect of the whistle's magic, Sally's body will never age past it's teen-aged appearance, even though she is now over 75 years old.
Sally's youthful appearance causes her numerous problems over the years: she is thrown in a crule orphanage following her parents' deaths, finds it impossible to find legal employment, is targeted for exploitation by the adult entertainment industry, and finds it impossible to buy alcohol.
