Project Cadmus

The Cadmus Project was formed by the intrepid former members of the Newsboy Legion once they grew to adulthood. Operating out of a secret underground lab on the outskirts of Metropolis, they became the world's premier genetic research and cloning facility.

And now, in the world of Seven Soldiers, their trademarks (and apparently some of their technology) was purchased by the Manhattan Guardian -- a populist newspaper where the readers are also the reporters.
