Grant Morrison and Barbelith

From Barbelith

Grant Morrison - the creator of The Invisibles, and in many ways the inspiration behind Barbelith, has a strange relationship with the site as a whole and the discussion board in particular.

This is not a Grant Morrison fan site in any conventional way.

Does he hang out on the board?

He certainly has done in the past, and we know that he still visits on occasion. It seems from the recent interview that he is only likely to read posts about his own work (if that). If you want to communicate with him, it's probably better to contact him via his own website: [grant-morrison.com]

The slightly longer version is that he did, and then he didn't. Basically, this is not a great place to go if your aim is to contact or impress Grant Morrison - just contact him directly, or make friends with Mark Millar or something. If you want to know what something in the Invisibles means, then Barbelith is likely to give you more and more interesting answers than Mr. M., anyway, because there are more of us. If you want to know exactly what Grant Morrison meant by a particular line or scene, just ask Runce. Basically. He's a powerful channeler. Of course there's an awful lot of other conversations to be had on Barbelith above and beyond the work of Mr Morrison...

Who is the grant that posts on the board?

"I'm not him. I'm the grant with the little "g". Currently, I spend waaaaaaaaaay too much time browsing the board. When not on the board, I write for the sleazy, colorful American tabloids, as opposed to sleazy, colorful comic books."
