Black Death

From Barbelith

Black Death can apparently poison his environment or items; he worked in concert with Gorilla Grodd (http://www.hyperborea.org/flash/grodd.html) and Neh-Buh-Loh during the pre-emptive strike by the Sheeda, during JLA:Classified #1-3 as a diversion on Qwewq for the JLA.

His surreptitious motif is repeated trifold throughout #2; on the miniature universe, he poisons a woman's drink (Superman (http://www.geocities.com/TheTropics/1185/jfiles/martianmanhunter.html) saves her, it's alright!) and empty subway station (Martian Manhunter (http://www.geocities.com/TheTropics/1185/jfiles/martianmanhunter.html) sorts it, don't worry!).

Grant Morrison stated in early interviews his intended villain was to be Black Hand (http://www.emeralddawn.com/gallery/black.htm), but had to create Black Death as a replacement, probably because Black Hand is being used as a villain in the new Green Lantern comic.
