As a child, Ali-Ka-Zoom was a member of the original Newsboy Army along side other kid crime-fighters, including Baby Brains and Kid Scarface.
The so-called 'Merlin of the Ghetto' is not one of the Seven Unknown Men, but he may be working as their agent.
Ali-Ka-Zoom is a master or "prestidigitation and legerdemain" possessed of enough magical talent to construct a cabinet containing a bottomless hole to nowhere and also to maintain his earthly presence in ghostly form following his own death.
